- Are completed by a compulsory internship.
Course units
The course units of the Applied Mathematics and Statistics master’s programme are mainly science and technology-related, notably:
- Statistics
- Data analysis
- Investigations and surveys
- Mathematics for decision analysis (operational research, combinatorial optimisation)
- Data basis
Moreover, the programme offers transversal units that will provide you useful skills whatever your choice of career:
- Informatics
- Communication
- English
- Projects supervised with the teachers of the departments and professional partners
- Internships/placements in companies
Internships and placements
The master’s in Applies Mathematics and Statistics offers 2 internships:
- Year 1: optional internship, 8-week-long minimum
- Year 2: compulsory end-of-studies internship, 4-month-long minimum in the last semester (S4)
The internship accounts for one course unit and will be evaluated as such, through a detailed report on your professional activities and a defending of said report.
Coursework and assessment
The course lasts 2 years and is divided in 4 semesters, each comprising several courses units. Examinations are held at the end of each semester and are graded on a scale from 0 to 20, 20 being the best grade.
