You wish to or already work for health institutions, with healthcare professionals or in elder care? You work in financial management and management control? You’re attending a programme in medical or paramedical studies?
The master’s programme in Healthcare Management aims at developing management skills required to achieve high-responsibility positions in health and social fields. To do so, Year 1 will teach you general knowledge and skills in healthcare management, thanks to partnerships with EHESP and URML Normandy. Then, in Year 2, you will have to choose between one of the specialisations offers by the University of Caen Normandy:

- Online on the eCampus e-learning platform
- In Year 2, on-site days are organised in Campus 5 of the University of Caen Normandy. If you cannot attend the meeting, you can still join online.
- Amount to 544 hours in Year 1 (509 contact hours + 35 hours for the internship) and 630 hours in Year 2 (350 contact hours + 280 hours for the internship)
- Are completed by two compulsory internships

The master’s programme in Healthcare Management is divided in 2 years. Year 1 focuses on fundamentals in healthcare management and is supported by EHESP and URML Normandy:

Internships and placements
The master’s programme includes two compulsory internships:
- In Year 1:
- 35 hours between November and December
- The internship must be done in one location with missions related to the Healthcare management and territory
- In Year 2:
- 280 hours between November and May
- The internship can be done in one or several locations (up to 3)
Coursework and assessment
The course lasts 2 years and is divided in 4 semesters, each comprising several courses units. Examinations are held at the end of each semester and are graded on a scale from 0 to 20, 20 being the best grade. Grade compensation is organized without eliminatory marks and on the basis of the general average obtained in every course unit:
- Over each semester
- Over the 2 semesters of year 1.
The 2 semesters do not compensate each other in year 2.
To successfully complete a semester, you must have an average mark of at least 10 points out of 20. If you have not completed your semester, you can retake the courses units you failed; you do not have to retake the courses in which you have obtained at least 10 points out of 20.
