Do you want to know how a company works? How it is organised? Do you want to acquire solid general knowledge and fundamentals in management, economy and finance? Join the bachelor’s in Management!

The bachelor’s programme relies on both theory and practice, allowing you to develop skills necessary for ever-changing jobs, such as broad-mindedness and reflexion. As such, you will learn to master every mission within a company, from its relations with its environment to those between the different departments!

Highlights

The International Section gives you the opportunity to go abroad in the 2nd semester and specialise in management in an international perspective. This 3rd year is only available if you attended the first two years of a Bachelor's degree in Management in another university and meet the language level requirements of the exchange university (English, Spanish).

This programme is avaible only

  • as a 3rd Year of a bachelor's degree in Management (you must have completed your first two years of a Bachelor's degree in Management)
  • for students who completed their first two years in another university than the University of Caen Normandy (if you are from the University of Caen Normandy, you cannot enter the International Section)

  • Language level certification

Course structure

Courses

  • Take place on site at Campus 1 for the 1st semester; in your exchange university for the 2nd semester
  • Amount to 21 hours per week, 500 hours per year; for the 2nd semester, your organisation will depend of your exchange university
  • Are completed by internships

Course units

The 1st semester takes place at the University of Caen Normandy and has a shared curriculum with the other specialities:

  • Accounting
  • Company law
  • Financial Analysis and Management
  • Strategic Management
  • Globalisation and Economics

Courses of the 2nd semester will depend on your exchange university.

Coursework and assessment

The course lasts 1 year and is divided in 2 semesters, each comprising several courses units. Examinations are held at the end of each semester and are graded on a scale from 0 to 20, 20 being the best grade.

For the 1st semester, grade compensation is organised without eliminatory marks and on the basis of the general average obtained in every course unit over each semester.

To successfully complete a semester, you must have an average mark of at least 10 points out of 20. If you have not completed your semester, you can retake the courses units you failed; you do not have to retake the courses in which you have obtained at least 10 points out of 20.

For the 2nd semester, abroad, assessment will depend on your exchange university.

Language

Courses are held in French and in the language of your exchange university.

To support your international mobility, the International Section offers various destinations abroad:

  • In Europe, thanks to Erasmus and Erasmus Mundus exchanges and inter-university agreements
  • Worldwide, thanks to inter-university agreements

Moreover, the programme offers a course to prepare your mobility application, allowing you to travel abroad in the best conditions!

  • Possess oral and written skills in French, in English and if possible in another language

The bachelor’s degree is the first step to pursue careers in management, economics, statistics, banking, finance and insurance.
